Wedding Dash

Background: Flo's friend has a problem. As a wedding organizer, she had been so excited to have her own wedding but her boyfriend have not yet done his proposal. So she made a contract with Cupid to have her boyfriend shot with his arrow. In return, she needs to organize a number of weddings before Cupid grant her wish. Flo helped her friend out with the food catering. Wedding Dash is another time management game with Flo from Diner Dash. The two had to organize one wedding per level; from deciding the motifs, theme and food, entertaining the guests with complimentary drinks and cupid angels, arranging the gifts, ushering the guests to their preferred seats to serving the three dishes. With all that, Flo and her friend will eventually encounter some problems and difficulties within the game and that's where the challenge begins.

Tips/Strategies: Deciding on the Bridal Tables, Cakes, Food and Cocktails are somehow tricky. So try your best to get the clues from the statement above the selections. If you want to have it perfect and you failed the first time, you can restart the game and do the selections again. Your stretch goal for the levels is to attain gold coin award which you can achieve by reaching a certain score at the end of each game. Just like any other time management game, you need to focus on how you will be able to finish all Flo's tasks in the shortest time possible. And the technique is always this; when you see what the guests are demanding, click on it right away even though Flo still have other things to accomplish. That way you will be faster than the game itself. When serving food, there are angels who can help you carry additional two items so better invest on that. On sitting guests, try to accommodate first the old lady, and then the guests who have certain preferences and then the ones whose preferences are likely not sitting beside certain guests. For those with preferences, check who wants to be seated next to each other so you can provide exact spaces for all of them. Best of all is to react immediately to troubled guests or events that might turn to disasters. These problems will help you earn more scores.

Review: I enjoyed this game because of its wedding concept. Some of the problems being faced by couples on deciding what to have for their wedding day are very interesting. And you will have to think of those decisions in every level of the game so it's exciting. You also have to face the different kind of guests that you might have encountered also on real weddings or affairs (that includes wedding crashers). I didn't get bored on this game. It's really fun and interesting. It's a must try for everybody who loves the concept of wedding or just love wedding.

Supermarket Management

Background: The story starts with a newly graduated girl looking for a job and end up being hired in a supermarket by its own CEO. So she becomes a very dedicated employee and somehow a great help to his boss on creating concepts and ideas on improving their store. The game consists of almost all the job you need to do in a supermarket business. And I should say dirty jobs from standing at the counter, refilling the shelves, preparing cakes, dairy products packing, assist in food tasting, and even a simple thing as pushing carts for customers. Don't worry, you'll get help some of the time from a hired cashier, refiller, food tasting assistant and dairy products sales lady.

Tips/Strategies: The main objective of the game is to earn a certain number of coins at a certain time frame. But there are a lot of things to do. The technique to earn more smileys (which eventually earn you a coin for a particular number of smileys) is to already click a number or all of tasks that you need to do. With that you will see that there is a bonus smiley for the next tasks that you will do. For the rest of the game, you just need to satisfy your customers. Give them the right stuffs, don't let the shelves get empty and don't let them wait too long. On the levels where your hired workers need to have a break, give it to them as soon as possible because it will give you more coins unless you need them desperately for the customers need.

Review: I didn't easily get the idea on how I can earn more coins. Sometimes the clicking of a number of tasks work and sometimes no bonus is given. There are only 4 stores and most of them have a lot of levels so there's not much variety and the floor design and interiors are the same. That makes it a little boring. I love getting stories from games like this and the Supermarket Management story fades while you get in the upper levels so it's just pure games and doesn't seem a lot interesting. But for most people who don't mind about stories this game is just fine.

Jessica’s Cupcake Cafe

Background: Jessica's aunt has a business that's not doing well anymore and was thinking of something new. Jessica suggested that she could make cupcakes for her aunt's cafe. Jessica's Cupcake Cafe is another time management game where you have to bake cupcakes and prepare them in different flavours and decorations. You also have to serve other items such as coffee, milk, hot chocolate and water.

Tips/Strategies: The strategy is to prepare everything with the best technique. First, prepare the coffee, hot chocolate and candies. Next one is baking and preparing the cupcakes which is a little complicated especially when there are 3 to 4 flavour and decorations to create. Since there are only two machines for each processing, you have to familiarize yourself with the flavours. With 3 flavours, check which colour and flavour are available for both of the two machines. Prepare it first, so you will have two trays already for that design. And then you can move on with the second and third cupcakes for each of the two machines. With 4 flavours, it will be easier though longer to prepare. You can be confuse sometimes but try to think first of the steps you have to do; (1) click the first batch of colour mixture, (2) click the second batch of colour mixture and you automatically get the first batch, (3) fill the oven with the first batch, (4) prepare the colour frostings and toppings for the first batch, (5) click the third batch of colour mixture and you automatically get the second batch, (6) fill the oven with the second batch and you automatically get the first batch of baked cupcakes, (7) place the first batch in the table, (8) when getting the frostings and toppings you can already click the next batch of frostings and toppings. Just do the procedure over again with the next batches and try to focus so you won't confuse yourself.

Review: The game's concept is very simple including the game itself. The challenge is to prepare the cupcakes without mistakes. Sometimes gamers confuse themselves for the rest of the game when they have created one mistake so it's very important to focus. The length of the game or the number of levels is just fine. I think having more levels would make it a little boring already.

Party Down

Background: Shannon wanted to do something else that can give her a break in Hollywood. One advertisement on TV gave her an idea on what she needs to do to achieve her goal, that is, to join a team of party organizers. The team has big time customers in Hollywood and Shannon believes that this is her chance to be popular. Party Down is another time management game where you had to organize party by arranging guests seating, placing guests in chat areas, serving them food and drinks, placing them in the dancing area, entertain them with music, and talking to them to increase your popularity as well as your team. There are 7 places and each have 7 levels (presented in party hours) to play. Shannon is joined with a bartender, chef, bouncer, disc jockey, and an usher.

Tips/Strategies: Everybody loves to level up their strengths or powers in any game, so in this one you need to increase your popularity to gain advantage of the game. There are two things that you can increase for each of the person in your team, speed and chatting skills. Try to increase the popularity of each of your crew at the lower levels of the game or as soon as you can so you can take advantage of the harder levels once you reached them. The basic goal of the game is to reach a certain score, but another objective is to chat a certain number of personality before the time runs out. Even if you reached the goal or got a gold score, that wouldn't get you to the next level. So make sure to prioritize chatting with the guests before you can make sure you reach the score goal.

Review: Party Down is something new and interesting. For a person like me who likes to party, this is a really great game. I finished the game in one sitting and I still got the energy to review it. The game might have shown the real stuff that happens on a party and it even has the real Hollywood personalities like Angelina Jolie and James Cameron. This is the best time management game for me so far.

Background: Jane is very much concerned with the environment as well as the animals that live in areas that are being destroyed by the people. So she started her advocacy to operate zoos to gather funds on helping these animals save their natural habitats. Play Janes Zoo is a time management game where you have to feed, bath, train, clean up animal houses or pools, and make the animals happy in the zoo. There are also mini games to clean up certain natural habitats of the animals. The game has 39 levels with 3 zoos to work on.

Tips/Strategies: There are basically two things that will make your score higher or lower. First is to have a higher score, make sure to click the coin or the smiley or the snow flake that will appear within the game. The coin will add up to your score, the smiley will boost happy mood to the animals and the snow flake will make the animals more patient. The last one that can affect your score is the crow. The crow usually goes to a certain animal's house and annoys them. So they will have less patience and lowers your score. Make sure to keep them away. You will usually hear their sounds when they try to annoy animals. For the mini games, these are basically bathing the animals, playing with them, exercising them, healing them when sick, etc, try to hit the point in which you'll get the green smiley.

Review: The difficulty of the game is just moderate, not too easy but not too hard. It's not as much entertaining or I should say the mini games are not interesting for me. But it will test your speed and sharpness on working on in each of the animal mini games. There's no way to find out the patience meter of each of the animals. You'll just get scores based on the activity or mini games you played.

Grandpas Candy Factory

Background: This is a story of a family legacy, the Candy Factory that is managed by Cathy's grandfather. And now that she had finished her studies, she was invited by her grandfather to help him out in the factory while he's away. She was left with her grandfather's trusted assistant who turns out to have some sort of other plans for the factory. That makes Cathy's work harder because Berthold, his grandpa's assistant, creates malfunctioned machines and fires people to make Cathy quit. The game is very basic though, creating chains of candies, chocolates, etc, seek items from grandpa's office and connecting pipes for the machines to function correctly.

Tips/Strategies: Make use of the life lines located at the right part, though they will be available on the higher level games. You need to accumulate a number of chains before you can use these helps. The two types of mini games, which are seeking items and connecting pipes, have available help that could just finish the game without you having any difficulty.

Review: I was amazed with the story of the game. The graphics are good but the character's look more of a fictional character from a movie I've watched before where the story is lonely and a bit scary for a kid. I was disappointed with how simple the game is. These are just mini games, creating chains like the games from PopCap. But I should say it's still a challenge to finish the games. And for someone who loves to have mini games for their past time, this is a good choice.

Strange Cases - The Tarot Card Mystery

Background: Ellery is an FBI agent and is always assigned to strange cases. This time she will need to solve a case by following clues from tarot cards. All by herself, she'll search for the truth regarding the kidnapping of three girls and finding out the mystery behind the incident. This game is another object seeking investigative play for anyone who loves the same kind of games.

Tips/Strategies: The Tarot Card Mystery is a very simple game and hints accumulate fast so you don't have to wait longer to get clues. Try clicking the items that show the two-gear pointer to know what items to seek. Also, the items you already found are clues to your next steps. Like the time when I get a boat key and I was seeking all the time inside the warehouse. It just makes sense that I need to go out and look for a boat where I can use the key.

Review: The game is not timed so there's no pressure or challenge to finish each phase. There are a lot of hints, you just have to wait a little time and you're off to finding the next item without difficulty. However, there's this level where I was given a hint and I didn't really figured it out. Still you have the option to skip certain point of the game. I think this is a great game for those who want some past time and make it an interesting one. And this is one of the games where I like the story graphics especially the outdoor rain effect.

Passport to Perfume

Background: Sophia's father is a perfumer and they go to different places to discover Marie Antoinette's perfume mixture until her father fall at an excavation area in Brazil. After ten years she decided to open her own perfumery and continue what his father left off. This is basically a time management game where Sophia needs to mix perfumes, add various packaging depending on customer requests and serve the perfumes before the customers reach their boiling points. To be able to add varieties to her perfume, she travels to other places to discover other scents. After her travel, she creates new mixtures of perfumes. She managed also to put up a new store from New York to Paris.

Tips/Strategies: Perfume and bottle stocks are the important thing in your store so you have to at least have 7 each of them on the first stages and add up as you go up the level. After stocking up your store, make sure to use upgrade also. There are upgrades that can help you, such as faster movements and better equipments. Within the game, give the Fine or Rare perfumes to customers who are undecided so you have more time for other customer requests. Mixing the right scents is also important. There are two aspects on this one, the time it takes to mix them and the selling value. The higher the selling value, the longer it takes to mix them. So try to limit your mixture to "Fast" filling time. Choose the scent that adds more selling value to your perfume.

Review: The story is good. Planning for a strategy is also a part of this game such as stocking up your store and mixing your perfumes. For someone who likes some thinking for a simple game, this is a good play. It also gives you an idea on how to manage a perfume store. Innovations and hard work on creating new scents and pleasing your customers are just some of those.

Youda Farmer

Background: Youda Farmer is a time management game. It's a two part game, first is the farm stage where you have to get all your farm products and the second part is the village stage where you have to deliver the products to resellers or restaurant owners. You'll have a basic farm first and then expand as you move on and get more money from selling your goods. And as you add up more variety to your products, your customers also expand their business plus you get more customers from bakers to butchers to fruit vendors, etc. The main goal here is to earn all the awards from the village people. So you won't stop playing until you get all the awards.

Tips/Strategies: For the farm part, make sure to upgrade to faster delivery truck and upgrade your machineries. Within the game, pack the orders to crates as soon as possible (do not wait for your truck to pick them up to move to the next order) and watch out for products that have less time in the order list. Prioritize the orders that are already in red papers. Keep in mind that the orders will not be timed once you packed them up to crates and will continue only once the truck picked them up. So clicking the ready orders immediately are also important. Now for the village part, this is where you earn money. It's important to click the coins immediately once delivery because it would decrease easily. You can also earn extra credits through helping your customers on cooking or making their products such as pie, cake, etc. Do that by clicking the items you deliver based on the number appearing on each of the product.

Review: I did love the graphics on this game. And you don't stay on one place, the farm is basically a large one plus you get to choose the color of your truck. A challenging game perhaps and adding up new farm expansions like apple orchards, vineyards, tomato farm, etc makes it more interesting as you go up the level. I just hope it's longer and has more stages.

Mystery Age - The Imperial Staff

Background: A mother and child's adventure to fight off the evil spirits that are lurking on their village and to rescue the father from the source of the chaos. They are actually a family of shaman, looking for all the necessary things they need along the way to get rid of the bad spirits. So this is basically a game of seeking objects or at least looking for pieces of broken objects and using them on the next items to find.

Tips/Strategies: There are hints along the way. You just have to keep your "eye" open to earn hints easily. Though they are limited, it's still on your ability to find things in less time possible. Check out the comments on things that are missing on place so you have ideas on what to use from your inventory of found items.

Review: This is a little different from the object seeking game I played because you seek items that you would eventually use on the next items to find. But I should say this is a lot easier. Just something you could play when you want to have a different game flow.

Cooking Dash - DinerTown Studios

Background: Another adventure of Flo from being a waitress in Diner Dash to becoming a cook. Cooking Dash had been a more challenging game and because of that Flo's story continues in DinerTown Studios. Though the game's concept is the same as the basic Cooking Dash, this gives a different story plus there are a number of new customers to handle. DinerTown Studios' story started when Flo and Grandma went to their friend Gilda's set for a new show. Eventually, the main star of the show wants to quit because the food they are serving for the show is terrible. So that makes Flo to the rescue. The game consists of five (5) stages and ten (10) levels each.

Tips/Strategies: The technique is to prepare food immediately that does not spoil like ice cream, juices and grandma's stuff if you already have a two-top table. Give priority to customers that easily get angry and position them based on colours and don't give them a chair next to a very noisy person. Help will come also but be sure to click the button on the right time, that is, when there are a lot of customers giving out their orders. Cookie, your helper, would come and prepare the food for you. Just don't forget to serve them immediately.

Review: If you have played and enjoyed the first Cooking Dash as well as Diner Dash, you will enjoy this one also. It's like repeating Cooking Dash with a very fresh story and concepts. DinerTown Studios is longer than the original one and has extra tasks in preparing food so that makes it more challenging. Probably a must play for mini games addicts.
